This distinctive variety stands apart from traditional forms, featuring a unique, layered bloom that provides exceptional visual interest and a burst of color from summer through frost.
Key Features:
Form: Classic Collarette Dahlia. Each bloom consists of an outer ring of broad, slightly rolled petals (ray petals) and an inner ring, or "collar," of much smaller, tightly curled petals surrounding the central yellow disc.
Color: The outer ray petals are a vibrant, intense salmon-orange, contrasting dramatically with the creamy, paler apricot-yellow of the ruffled collar. This beautiful two-tone effect is highly appealing.
Pollinator Magnet: The open center is easily accessible, making 'Salmon Runner' an excellent choice for bees and butterflies, providing a splash of color while supporting local wildlife.
Garden Performance: Reaches a moderate height (around 3 feet) and is known for its prolific blooming habit. The sturdy stems hold the 3–4 inch blooms upright, perfect for adding texture and contrast to borders.
Ideal Uses: Perfect for the mid-border, cutting gardens, or anywhere you want a reliable, bright, and unique bloom that attracts pollinators.
You'll receive one tuber ready for planting or storage. Each tuber will have an intact eye but may very in size and shape depending on type.
Shipping will begin mid-April.
