Shipping policy
1. Order Processing and Fulfillment
Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 5 business days; however, processing time may vary depending on the specific type of plant material ordered, its necessary preparation, and current order volume.
Shipping Days: To prevent plants from sitting in transit over the weekend, we generally ship orders only from Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed late in the week (Thursday-Sunday) will be packaged and shipped the following Monday.
Packaging: All plants are carefully packed using [mention method, e.g., eco-friendly materials, custom boxes, or specialized cushioning] to minimize movement and protect them during transit.
2. Shipping Services and Rates
Carrier: We ship all orders via USPS Priority Mail.
Shipping Rates: Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, dimensions of your order, and your delivery address. You can view the final shipping cost at checkout before finalizing your purchase.
Estimated Transit Time: Standard transit time is typically 2-4 business days once the order has been shipped. Please Note: This is an estimate, and actual delivery times may vary due to carrier delays.
3. Shipping Restrictions and Weather Holds
To ensure the health of the plants, we must adhere to specific shipping restrictions:
Cold/Hot Weather Holds (Temperature Policy): We will temporarily hold and delay shipping orders if the local temperature at the shipping location, the destination, or along the transit route falls below 35^\circ\text{F} or exceeds 90^\circ\text{F}.
If a weather hold is necessary, we will notify you via email and ship your order as soon as conditions are safe.
Pest and Agriculture Laws: We ship to all 48 contiguous United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or US Territories due to strict agricultural and quarantine laws.
4. What to Expect & Delivery
Tracking: You will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has been prepared for shipping.
Delivery Responsibility: Once the package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier, we are no longer responsible for theft or loss. Please ensure your delivery location is safe and secure.
Unpacking: Live plants require immediate attention upon arrival! Please unpack your plants immediately and follow the included care instructions. Minor stress (soil displacement, a few yellowing leaves) is normal after transit.
5. Damage During Shipping
If your plants arrive severely damaged or in an unrecoverable condition, please refer to our Return, Refund, and Cancellation Policy for instructions on how to file a claim. You must contact us with photos within 48 hours of delivery.
